As the very first Lamp of the Path’s project, the community Soup Kitchen opened its doors in August of 2003. The Soup Kitchen at LOP provides a hot lunch for between 40 – 50 people a day although the number of participants increase during winter-time or during the colder seasons. The Soup Kitchen is open between 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. and our dedicated cooks comes to work early in the morning in order to prepare 60 liters of soup and more for the people who come for the mid-day meal.
